Hello, I am Jordan Pascoe, I am a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps and I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering in May of 2025. After graduation, I made the decision to allot a year for personal development and leisure. In the last year, I have worked as a commercial fisherman in a different fisheries, coded this website from scratch, traveled and took an interest in further exploration of 3D printing and CNC machining. Also, I decided further education with obtaining a few certifications in programming.
As of current, I am seeking to gain level-entry employment to expand my knowledge and prowess and to grow in my engineering career. I am seeking for a growth opportunity with an employer. I am zealous about working computers, yet I do enjoy the practical application and being dexterous. Over the years, I have spent an adequate amount of time taking on projects and maintaining my vehicle and motorcycle. I have made many modifications and repairs to my vehicle such as upgrading the entire suspension, completing various engine projects and maintenance. As of recent, I have gotten into 3d printing and CNC machining, and I been tinkering and developing several objects using CAD software like Solidworks and FreeCAD. I been familiarizing myself with different software applicable to 3d printing and CNC machining such as Bambu Studio and Universal G-code Sender Platform. The accumulation of these manufacturing devices in conjunction to building a homelab/server environment and having other computers in the household. I have taken up the endeavor to learn about and a networking, computer security and monitoring and information technologies. I have completed various project corresponding to electrical, mechanical, electronics, carpentry, plumbing, drywall, framing, painting and staining for home improvement, automotive, and aquatic vessels.
My recent employment history has entailed commercial fishing in different fisheries such as seining for Salmon in Alaska or squid seining in California. This employment was very unique and endearing to me. It is the perfect mixture of working hard and a vacation. I accumulated many different perspectives, memories and acquired many different skills along the way. Most of all, this is was the practical application of my engineering degree. Through out the four years, I gain exposure to many different boat projects especially while being in the engine room. I have worked on and managed the refrigeration system, engine, electrical and electronic systems. Through these various projects, my cognitive ability to understand the engineering principles and fundamentals greatly increased. I got affiliated with tying knots and splicing rope, and over time this fueled me to become inquisitive about further understanding material composition and application. The abundant exposure enabled me to have the propensity of creating a monologue in my head pertaining to how can I formulate the understanding the core engineering principles and processes of this current project.
